I went for a short hike after work yesterday and came out of the woods with this one.

Wow, that's crazy cool, Bryan! :wow ND filter on that? Looks like you captured cloud movement, but the water still has ripples. Hmmm....headscratch.gif

Really nice job handling the dynamic range in this one. Also, from this size it looks nice and sharp throughout. Good job!

    Thanks everyone.

To answer your question Joel, I did use a 3 stop grad plus I bracketed 3 exposures and merged them in Photomatix 4. I had to do some additional layer masking in CS4 to fix the water in the foreground. I will also say the clouds were really moving fast but there wasn't much wind at ground level.

    Hello bryanj87,

As a fan of landscape photography (I produce and collect postcards with nature shots) - I think this image is well successful - I like what you've done with the sky (thought there must be some editing involved, but overall it looks very natural).

    What camera(s) are you using?

I have had a Nikon D70 for a while now - very happy with it, but looking for a new camera- your image may well be a reason I will look into Canons - thanks!

Nice capture, Bryan! The colors are wonderful and I agree with Danny on the sharpness--well done!
