can't delete photos

I've been trying for five minutes to delete a photo in this gallery and it just won't die. Every time I delete it (about a dozen times now) -- whether as an individual photo or a bulk delete -- it comes right back and shows up in the gallery.

Any tips?

EDIT: the photo finally deleted but it took eight minutes. Eight minutes to delete a single photo? I've been using SM for six years and it's never taken more than a couple of seconds for a photo to be deleted. Did something change?

That happens to me from time to time. If it happens to me now I just forget about it knowing it will disappear at some point.
