Foreign passport photos

In my case I needed a photo to renew a Dutch passport. Everyone who does the $5 passport photos is doing them to US standards. The Dutch standards are quite different. I talked to a local photographer, and I offered to pay more, but he said foreign passports are too difficult, and he's had issues with them getting bounced. FWIW I thought I'd post my sloppy method that got what I needed.

Outside in the shade was the easiest to find even lighting (only have a single flash). I did have to hold a reflector to light under my chin a bit. They want light background, so I hung up a sheet. For pp, I set the crop in PS to the required 45mm x 35mm. Using the ruler, I made sure I had about 30mm crown to chin. Then I set the canvas size to 4x6 and printed at Costco. Photo ended up just a few mm larger than the crop. Time consuming, but not very expensive. :thumb Fortunately, the consulate took my photo without issue today. :clap
