I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

I find the light a little too harsh in the first one, but the second is really nice. thumb.gif

No problem Gary. :D Am glad you like the results with these 2 abstracts.
I really need to get a further fix for myself. Hmmm roadtrip. I know a
couple places I need too explore.

Thanks for saying Richard :D Always very appreciated.
headscratch.gif Are we talking overall too strong light or just the highly bright fingers
that reach between the strong cups of shadows going along the bottom?
I initially left those areas alone for blacks value isolation, but I think I could
rework those areas for greater impact overall. I would like that shot to
perform greater if I can get it.

Looking at it again, I think what bothered me was not so much the highlights as the shadows, or rather, the blacks. There are some really nice textures in the mid-tones but everything is flat in the blacks. That worked in #2 because there wasn't much black, but there's a lot in #1. Maybe try lowering the black point and see what pops out. ne_nau.gif
