How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I was at the Salton Sea yesterday and spent a couple of fruitless hours looking for some burrowing owls, to no avail. That place is dead at the moment. I hardly even saw a hawk. I'm hoping it's just not the season yet and that the winter will be better.
Cheers,

Thanks Ben! Definitely worth it when they are where they are supposed to be!
Thanks Wicked Dark!
Thanks Ira!
Thanks Jackiejay!
Thanks Ric!
The last one cracks me up!
Thanks Lindiwe!
Thanks BigAl! I had to wait for them to wake up.
Thanks Dan!
I think sunrise and sunset is the best time of day to see them, but I have seen them at other times too. If you know where the burrow is, the best thing to do is settle down and wait. If they jump into their burrows just give them some time they usually come out again if you stay still.

Thanks Harry!
Thanks Deb!
Thanks Stella!
I don't think it is electric. They usually have a sign posted if it is.
Thanks Korandoke!
