I've lost count of how many photos of this plants shadow I've taken today. Shadows have been my nemesis at learning to take photos. On the other hand shadows can both disguise and reveal beauty that we otherwise wouldn't notice. Does this work?

Wonderful perspective. NOT the way I would ordinarily look at this, a unique view. and I think the up angle is just right. Not too sharp. Very nice!

thanks Froch! I really almost gave up trying to get this photo today. I've tried for 3 days off and on. :)

Jenn, without question one of the best shots you've posted. Imaginative, simple and effective. The ooonnnllly technical nit for me is that you chopped off the tips of the fronds, but other than that, it's great! clap.gif

    Really? wings.gif

I could clone the tip so it doen't look chopped off, but then it wouldn't be totally the original photo, which I worked for 3 days to get! Laughing.gif

    I can't believe I did a good one. :D

Since there are no editing restrictions this round, I would clean up those uppermost fronds. Otherwise, great job thumb.gif

How's this? Subtle, but tips aren't cut off.
