Outside the window...
This little guy was making a hell of a ruckus, which made me expect a bigger bird. It took me a while to locate it in the tree. It might be a juvenile. It's about 4 1/2in in length. Can anyone name it?
This fella was also in the tree, but keeping mum. Nearly twice the size of the one above. Also don't know what it is?

Perseverance! (Good name for the cat!)

The second image is a New Holland Honeyeater, and the first (which I had to look up) is a Striated Pardalote.
I'm incredibly envious of the first shot. I've only seen this bird once or twice, and never with camera in hand.
Thanks for your kind comment, Lindiwe.
I am delighted you were able to identify these fellas, thank you. The little guy in #1 has blue "epaulets", just visible here on its right wing, which I did not see in any photos when I followed up your identification.
Also happy to have the company of another Aussie to add expertise to posts about Australian wildlife.
