Outside the window...

This little guy was making a hell of a ruckus, which made me expect a bigger bird. It took me a while to locate it in the tree. It might be a juvenile. It's about 4 1/2in in length. Can anyone name it?

This fella was also in the tree, but keeping mum. Nearly twice the size of the one above. Also don't know what it is?

    those were great pics I tryed to find a woodpecker the other day I could hear him when I did he didnt stay long for a pic one of these days Im gonna get a pic.The promblem I have mostly is my cat follows me every where hes noisy and scares everything away lol.(I stepped on his tail the other day he plopped down behind me I stepped back he wasnt happy nor as the bird lol)

    Beautiful shots!
    The second image is a New Holland Honeyeater, and the first (which I had to look up) is a Striated Pardalote.
    I'm incredibly envious of the first shot. I've only seen this bird once or twice, and never with camera in hand.

    A honeyeater eh! very cool bird. I have never seen one but then we don't get them out here. Beautiful photo's both of them.

    I am delighted you were able to identify these fellas, thank you. The little guy in #1 has blue "epaulets", just visible here on its right wing, which I did not see in any photos when I followed up your identification.

    Also happy to have the company of another Aussie to add expertise to posts about Australian wildlife.
