A little help?

Okay, I know this is a few weeks late, but we have been seriously, seriously busy. But, I just want to get input from those of you who are willing.
I have been doing the challenges for a short while now, and I am still having a lot of fun, but with a short amount of time, I've had to be very selective in my shot choices, including entries. I would like to take several days and go through the DSS forum and ask for input, but that just hasn't materialized on many of these yet.
Anyway, here is the shot I entered for lace or leather
I know that some felt it was off-center, but honestly I was kinda going with the rule of thirds and that didn't bother me. I didn't notice she was kinda just floating until someone mentioned it and now it really is bugging the hell out of me, so now I am wishing I had entered a different one. Also, accidently, the boots became the central subject, and while yes they are leather, they were really just an afterthought. The leather and lace gloves (and their adult "accessories") were supposed to be the main feature.
So maybe I can have a better idea of how to cull ideas and pick submissions in the future, here are the others I was trying to decide between. If you wouldn't mind, I'd really like to know what everyone thinks and if I should have entered different one.
1.
I realize that this one should be turned to bk/white, but I liked it in color
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
again, I know the color
And lastly, I really liked the way this one came out in color, too.
7.
Sorry for the long-windedness on this, but it's seven o'clock on a Saturday and I'm still at work.
Thanks,
John

The Original, if Boots were to be the main subject, were well placed. Only prob is Contrast. THE contrasting image of the gloves draws the eye, therefore the boots become an afterthought. Also She's holding a white looks-like-boa piece that simply doesn't belong, only serving to further distract.
#5 Is more suited to Boots for an entry, and it is well done too I think.
#4 is my pick for lace. She is more in touch with the image and takes up the whole frame. She makes good eye contact and sells the lace idea to us.
The others are well photographed, and well lit. I just think the leather OR lace in each takes up so little of the frame, we are left without an impact being made.
Good idea to Share when you can~
Hope that helps!
Cheers,
Sherry
Yeah, Tom, the boots were kinda unexpected, she just brought them along because they were leather. And yeah, it was hard to make a couple of boa feathers look like a "tickle" feather. I have since seen them in a couple of different stores that I was not sharp enough to attempt to visit before the shot.
Thanks.
John
