Hey guys!

Been offline for a few weeks - travelling the vastness of the deserts of Western India.

Took loads of photos, and have put the best of the bunch up on SmugMug - the internet is awfully slow here, so it took better part of a day to upload them all!

Feel free to have a look through;

I've put a few below as well

    Great Images!!! I love people and love shooting people who are picturesque. When I travel, I always want to bring home images of the local people. The faces of India are wonderful and you have done a great job in capturing these faces.

    I am always quite bored with travel images which show buildings and landscapes and GOD FORBID, those ever prevalent sunsets, to the exclusion of images of the people that have been visited.

    Of course, some photographers are reluctant to get up close to people and some tours never give you that opportunity. What a shame and what a waste...

    I always carry a 17-55mm f/2.8 IS and a 70-200mm f/4L IS lenses on a pair of 1.6x cameras. I use the 70-200mm for portraits and always carry a flash for fill on that camera. The little Canon 270EX has turned out to be my go-to flash for fill photography in walk-around shooting.

    Your collection on smugmug is just great!

    I just went through your gallery and absolutely loved it. I enjoy seeing pictures of the people rather than the landscape. People's faces, cloths and posture tell so much more than a simple landscape shot. Thank you for sharing and safe travels :-D

    What fantastic images... you really captured the spirits of those you shot. I especially love the one with the little girl with the henna (?) on her hands, and the eyes of the little boy in the first one. These are fit for National Geographic, my friend. Great job!

    Thanks heaps guys - ended up having to head back to Australia early due to issues with our business. So we will miss the Pushka camel festival (the one I was holding out for!). Your comments are all greatly appreciated :) Cant wait to travel again and get the camera out!!!
