Hey everyone!
Already posted a few of these on another topic (Journeys), but thought it would be worth posting a few new portrait shots in here.
Just finished our 3 weeks through Rajisthan (India), and are now in Mumbai waiting for our flight to Goa.
Hope you enjoy - and would love any feedback
First photo is of an ancient lady in a small village we passed through - I was busy taking photos of the kids, and she called me over and asked me to take her photo. Needless to say, she is one of the most captivating subjects I've ever had the pleasure to photograph.
And another shot of her;
Three gypsy kids begging for money - they were heaps cute, and we parted with some money before getting these awesome shots (they're canny negotiators!)
We found our way to a remote village - turns out they haven't met all that many foreigners, so the kids were at first apprehensive, but after some funny faces they broke into laughter;
One of my favorite shots - even through the viewfinder, it looked as though this girl was staring into my soul;
Gypsy lady in the markets - so much jewelery!
Same girl as before - I ended up following her around for awhile;
All I can say is ... look at the beard! Tucked behind his ears!!
Crazy old tribal woman - couldn't stop laughing while i was taking the photos;
Another old lady;
Arm tattoos of above lady;
... and that's it! There are a few more at tamerik.smugmug.com/rajisthan
Thanks for looking!!!!

The eyes are the most important part for me. No matter who they are or where they maybe - it's the eyes that tell the story. I applaud your choice for B&W - it's just lacking the story tellers.
Well done: Brady

Wow, now you made me want to hop a plane over there and shoot whatever I can. My dream photo location is Delhi, particularly the Lotus Temple. Saw it on a Food Network show and I've been dreaming of it ever since.
Beautiful, beautiful shots!! Excellent DOF!!
Shame you can't contact them and give them prints.. :cry
