Jump Creek Canyon/Falls

Had a break in the sky from the rain yesterday, so I headed out to Jump Creek Falls to try to catch a bit of sunlight in the canyon with the fall colors. The canyon is difficult to expose because the shot is due south without any direct light on the north side of the canyon walls (this time of year.) The clouds only opened up for about 30 minutes. CC please. Thanks for looking.

1. Full Canyon View - merged 3 photos in PSE. I'm not much of a PS person, but I knew that it would take a merge to get a better exposure. I'm still not totally happy with the resulting image...so more practice is necessary!

2. I move my position to the right as the setting sun lit up the eastern canyon wall. The exposure was much easier :)

3. A shot without the canyon walls.
