I have never seen a kingfisher myself, neither have I seen an owl, and I have no idea where to find a raptor.
However, it is going to rain:D , again, so I can just sit here and think that if I were not rained in, I would be out taking photos of glorious birds.
Then again, the gods appear to have been good to me in other areas lately, too.
I do need my birds to feel complete, sigh.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Oh wait if you think of yourself as a birdie then the story is for you

I have not seen one in wild, Yet either, but I will
Sorry about you being rained in but have no control of that, it will stop, your birds will return and all will be well with the world
You know there is great photography available during the and right after the rain too. Let's see some of your great landscapes

That bird drives me nuts. We had a few near us they would sit still as long as you were moving as soon as you stop they fly.
And that call its like they are laughing and calling "better luck next time sucker"
