There are 4 acres of grounds and gardens which I'll be posting, but first I wanted to get an idea of what these looked like online.

Looks IMHO like all the interiors are off on the white balance. Though the shots are otherwise nice.

    I would stay there! :D

I'm afraid I see what you mean about the WB Don. Thanks.

You set these to tungsten WB in the raw converter, and they'll snap right to life. Very nice set otherwise. thumb.gif

Not what I expected at all from you, Walter--maybe you could put a huge apple in one of the rooms. rolleyes1.gif

I agree with the comments on WB, but as Joel said, it's easy to fix.

Thanks Joel, Richard. Yeah, easy if one has a clue... I've been finding 'issues' all over, and since I'm hdr-ing these issues can't be dealt with until they're reset and done from scratch. NX Capture, which I've never been real happy with, is a PITA. I'm getting over it though. I'm hoping 'incandescent' means the same as 'tungsten.'

    Here's the first two:

    Living room:
    790-a165735f.jpg
In the living room there was a light blob on the TV and mantle. The left side of the room came out way too dark.

    Dining room:
    790-b166780fv2.jpg
This one I went and corrected the distortion and focused immediately on a nasty-looking yellowish reflection on the glass over the table cloth. It took what seemed like forever to get rid of it, then I noticed that I clipped the leg of the chair off. So I just started over again. Aggrevating.

However, I think they do look better. Starting to wonder if the hdr is worth it, but the single exposures look flat to me. I want these to be really nice. The client fired me a few years ago, but hired me back mwink.gif- a long but hilarious story. It ain't over either--I may last until the end of the week... or longer. I'm ready for yet another career makeover. Maybe I'll be an archaeologist.

(now my wife/color checker comes in and tells me the tablecloth looks green)
