A few shots from this weekend in Oregon (hoped for some fall color but it's still a week at least away from peak in the Columbia Gorge):

First up, Proxy Falls (Central Oregon between Eugene and Sisters):

Fairy Falls (Columbia River Gorge):

#6:

#7: Latourell Falls (somehow the leaves always end up in the right spot...)

#8: Wahclella Falls in the pouring rain (unfortunately the ephemeral creeks spilling into the amphitheater weren't fully saturated so no cool ephemeral falls shots)

BEAUTIFUL! 3 is really nice....I like the way you framed the lower portion of the photo with the log. Your photo trek must have been very enjoyable!

Great set. Love the details you brought out in #2 and #6. And I will never ceased to be amazed to see the Coincidental Leaf. Kind of like the traveling gnome. :D

Stunning series of photographs! Will the deciduous foliage around the falls change more golden in the weeks to come? :)

Thanks for the comments everyone, I definitely plan on revisiting Proxy Falls again.

DRT-Maverick - in the gorge you see yellows, orange, and golds from the big leaf maple trees.

I have to echo- beautiful colors.

Did you have use a neutral density filter, or was it shady enough to do the long exposure without a filter?
Yeah, if you recognize the avatar, new user name.

    # 2 and 6 for me as well. #8 somehow doesn't look like Elowah falls... i didn't know it was a 2-stage falls, and i don't recall a bridge on the trail to the falls.... where was that taken from?

I had a polarizer (which acts as a 2-3 stop ND filter), plus it was overcast and rainy, more than enough to get the 1-2 second exposures at the appropriate aperture (generally around f/16 for the wide angle, and f/8-11 for the zoomed in stuff).

Thanks - yeah that's a typo (now fixed), that is actually Wahclella Falls (I did go to Elowah Falls as well - so it was on my mind - but the flow is so low this time of year that the shots weren't that great, not to mention the fact that the sun had started to come out at that point.
