Just thought I'd share a couple shots. They have been really buzzing around lately, and always fun, hard, neat to catch :D

Catching them in flight always gives me a thrill

That first one is great, well so is the second. I can never get that close to them when they are in flight, well I guess I can't get them that in focus either when they are in flight.

    Excellent shots Ben!

It's pretty easy to capture the single headed dragons. Bring back a three headed fire breathing dragon...then I'll be impressed. thumb.gif

Seriously (as hard as it is)...very nice captures machine gunner. Did you have the heater ablazin' full out on these captures? **click click click rattattatt ratatatatattatatta **. Pretty spiffy pictures Ben. I like 'em. clap.gif

What fancy glass were you shooting through? Any extension tubes?

I am sure we have those thinga around here...but I never spot them. :cry Maybe I'll find one of the really old ones that isn't moving too fast. :D

    Cheers

    Hey Nick
Just stand in one spot and watch them for awhile usually they'll make the same pattern around you and hover a few seconds. That's how I get DIF's. Just be patient and they'll cooperate with you, honest thumb.gif

Great captures. All I've ever been able to get are DIF butts filling about .05% of the frame and even they are blurred.
