Hello. I am new to photography. But it is something that I am enjoying immensely. I've been quite pleased to find that I can express myself through photos even more than I could through my music. This set is from my stroll around my apartment complex the other day.

Criticisms encouraged. Side note: should I keep the JEI mark at the bottom right, like #8? I don't know what's professional or just lame.

This is probably more "Other Cool Shots" than "Landscapes", but that's beside the point as far as I'm concerned.

This is an excellent series that clearly demonstrates that photographic opportunities exist everywhere -- something I have to keep reminding myself of :D

My favorite here is #3 -- it's quite creative to find the ways of seeing the scene that others would completely miss. thumb.gif

I appreciate the information about the categorization of this thread. I'm new here and to photogrpahy, so it is really helpful. In hindsight, it should have been obvious that this belonged in "Other Cool Shots".

    Thank you for your comment!

Nice set. I particularly like #4, the lonely little leaf.

The JEI looks nice. In fact, I'd even make it about 30% larger.
What I said when I saw the Grand Canyon for the first time: "The wide ain't wide enough and the zoom don't zoom enough!"

I'll go ahead and move this for you but don't worry - We're not real stickers here for that sort of thing, and as long as you're enjoying taking and sharing your pics who really cares? :D

I really like the square format and the lomo-style processing. (Due to the vignette and blurring, are these scanned Holga shots?) I think it suits your subjects very well. Let's see more!
