Hey all

I frequently share some images with an email list server group of several hundred people. Most people seem to have no problems arriving at the right photo. I pasted this link earlier this week

http://kirkhmb.smugmug.com/Woodworking/Misc-Images/6241184_kdwJV#1063118213_oEKkn

and one person reported that he ended up at image #1 of 78. He says it happens every time I send a link. I've had this happen with 1 other user a few months back with a different gallery. I typically don't hear of complaints with this issue.

He is running Vista with IE, don't know the version. He has the style set to Smugmug.

Any clues? I've searched back 2 years looking for wrong and lnk, and saw nothing.

Thanks

I suspect his email didn't properly handle your link and he used this http://kirkhmb.smugmug.com/Woodworking/Misc-Images/6241184_kdwJV which will go to image 1 in the gallery.

Yup, that seems correct, he dropped the # sign. I will find out his mail reader, and work with him from there. I may be back, thanks.

He is running Windows Mail. Searching for

    windows mail link "#"

Isn't doing much for me, since the #s are probably buried or treated as wild cards.

Is there some convoluted file string that needs to be changed to get it to work? I'm afraid to open windows mail on my machine.

    Thanks

I suspect that windows mail is dropping the info after the # sign. I do not know a fix I'm sorry, but we'll surely check into it.
