I've got some big cowboy woks I've made, but those things are huge.

The capture of the flames is great! And yeah, what was he cooking on them?

    Thanks, everyone!

He was cooking for a booth at a street fair. The tasty dish was called "Island Noodles". You can see the chicken in the first photo. In the second one, he is actually shouting, "Fire in the Hole" and putting on quite a show.

What puzzles me are the white reflections in the first two. It is very apparent in the second, appearing as a white rectangle. No glass between the camera and flames and no filter on the lens. Thoughts, anyone?

I think that's just the background seeping through. If you look at that area in #3, you can see a bright patch bounded by his torso, arm and some background clutter. Flames are not necessarily opaque and it looks as if the light on the umbrellas in the back was very bright. That's my guess, ne_nau.gif.

I've always liked pictures of fire, and you captured these beautifully. Great shots!
