Rare site at Viera - Snail Kite

This week, a Snail Kite has been hanging out in cell #3 at the Viera Wetlands. It is rare to see them at the wetlands........

Another shot from yesterday afternoon of the Snail Kite. It was taken a second after dipping into the water and capturing an Apple Snail.

It was a very long way off......... Shot taken with my Tamron 200-500mm lens set at 500mm plus a 1.7X TC.

Great series of shots of a beautiful bird. I particularly like the last shot because of the details in the underside of the wing. Beautifully sharp, too.
