I guess I am a pixel peeper...but I could care less if a shot looks wonderful at 4x6...
how does that iso 3200 look at 16x20 standing only a foot or so from it.....for me
that is the type of evidence I like to see and not in written word...but give me
a sooc full rez jpg to view .......

ISO 3200 on the D7000 is actually pretty decent. It's not quite the quality of the D3, D3s, or D700 but it's pretty darned good for an APS-C sensor camera.

Thanks Dan. I know folks were concerned about the increase in pixel density, but this should pretty much put those fears to rest. clap

Thom's samples are in the 2010 archive now. The link is to his main page, which changes regularly. try this:

The link above was just to the byThom front page, which had the photos up the day of the OP. They have now been bumped to the 2010 archive page, along with a few quick comments by Thom, if anyone is interested. He said that his full review of the D7k will come after the D3100, since the D7k isn't likely to be widely available for a few weeks anyway.
