Well, the Rally to Restore Sanity (AKA Keep Fear Alive) was a friendly, fun, almost genteel affair. Well no, nothing involving Ozzie Osborne could be called genteel, but it was at least sane. The metro getting out of DC afterward though . . . nuh-uh. Fooking CRAZY!! We finally gave up, left the station, and walked back to Virginia, and had a family member come pick us up in Rosslyn.

That's a great capture, especially with the gal inside the train car looking at you.

Thanks! I'm not much of a street photographer. But every now and again, if you keep mashing down on the button, ya' just get lucky!

Well as a Matter of Fact
Oh, My . . . are there more photos you ask? Here are some. And here's one:

I think the Law Enforcement Officers (these were Federal Protective Service I think) were bored. No trouble to respond to. Too many reasonable moderates.

We took a cab back to georgetown, had dinner, left at 7pm and it was STILL like this, but with people in costume and such. IT WAS NUTS! Had our two year old son with us. He entertained the orange line with his rendition of twinkle twinkle and reading letters DO NOT LEAN ON THE DOORS over and over. Have never seen the metro like that. eek7.gif

Thanks Nicole, BD, and Travis. It was a fun day. We walked from the Rally, across Memorial Bridge to Arlington Cemetery, and then to the Starbucks on Wilson Blvd in Rosslyn and called the wife for a pickup. We beat the folks home who took metro. Walking out of that Metro station was a good decision!

I don't do this very often, but I keep coming back to this photo. I think I'm mesmerized by the juxtaposition of the apprehensive look on the one gal's face vs the joyous look on the other gal's. I really have to wonder what's going on in their minds at that moment.

This really needs to be hanging on a wall somewhere. Great catch!
