#62 First Entry

Hi everyone, I have been looking around for a little while and thought I would give the challenge a try. I like this theme and wanted to capture the challenge (pun intended) so many young kids have these days with being real in the face of peer pressure. Seems all to often there is a tendency to disguise or put on a facade hiding their true identity. I thought the low key effect was appropriate for this theme. Let me know what you think.

The title is Friend or Facade.

Nice photo. I like the lighting and the simplicity.

So, is she deciding whether or not to wear the mask? Or is she looking at the facade of her friend?

Thank you for the feedback.

I think what I was trying to convey is that what someone might think what they are portraying as their true self, could really be a facade, disguising something to the contrary. Kind of an introspective view.

But the good thing is that it can be open to your own interpretation.

I have submitted the photo to the gallery.

I have read the rules carefully a few times and the image appears in compliance. However, I noticed that my photo is the only photo in the gallery with a copyright notice. Can someone tell me if my photo is in compliance?
