Another shot of one of these tiny spiders. Anyone know what kind this is?

    I hate spiders
But that shot is great, I'm assuming you were using flash off camera as a sidelight? The little highlight on the body is perfect, looks like laquered a fimo bead. The only one that doesn't really do that much for me is the butterfly, the light is flat and doesn't show a lot of texture. Great sharp macros, well composed.

WOW, what great shots! I really like the spider. The web has some great dimensions with the cast of side lighting. Close up photography can create some really cool effects.

    Thanks for sharing.

Great shots. Love the first one, what an odd fellow.

The black background on the white butterfly is great too.

Good shots Thomas. Especially like pic#1 the weevil.- How big was that thing? The weevils I get on my potentilla bush are only about 4 mm long.

here's a shot of one from the other day slightly cropped pic taken at 4:1 with my 1.4x extender and a reversed 50mm lens in front of the 105mm macro lens.

Thanks for looking everyone. It looks like this thread woke up. The lighting was with my dual flash setup (main left, fill right). Thanks for the ID Karz. I just ordered the book from amazon for $13. Thanks for mentioning it. LV, the wevill was very small, but I'm not sure exactly. That shot is cropped to about 30% of full frame at initially 1:1 I think. Thanks again for stopping by.
