Real estate promoters attempting to create a "Salton Riviera" in the 1960s failed, leaving abandoned lots and boarded-up buildings along the shore.

Absolutely stunning set. I love the great twilight shots you got, as well as the beautiful open sky. And the people shots give a wonderful sense of what it was like to be there.

This is a place I have always wanted to photograph, but I'm on the wrong coast. I really like "Star" a great shot. If you're an Anthony Bourdain fan, you might check out his "No Reservations" tv show visit, it was, shall we say, entertaining in its own way (the tv shot made me remember it).

Love the TV & Truck images! Those are especially wonderful. Of the Sea, I really like the two images from the Curved shoreline. Nice work.

oh wow..the last 2 shots are quite amazing. The TV shot is great as well..I think it screams for stronger, more out there processing though!

Lake view is a magical, if not hauntingly beautiful photo, I am still deciding if the ghost of the photographer is the right choice but it definitely adds a focus point and something unique. Well done on all of these photos.

Excellent set. The whole Salton Sea is a sad story. I really love the Star image, actually both of them but the bus image is super. Love your lower perspective and composition. well done

Awesome set! The destroyed tv is great! My wife and I went here when we lived in SoCal. Sooooo smelly. I think it was springtime, there were dead fish piled up all along the waters edge. I love all the boarded up hotels and old neon signs there.

^^ I'm glad someone mentioned the smell. I lived in the desert for a year and man, the salton sea smells GROSS. The santa ana winds do NOT help lol

Very nice. Really remarkable. The last two are really outstanding, and the TV.
