Please tell us about a place, where you've been, in a way that will
give us an understanding and feeling of that area.

- It can be anything: from your community, to a far and exotic destination.

Here below are some examples from my own shots:

#1 Merida, Mexico

This challenge will begin now and ends at 10:00 am EST on November 15

Oh, I'll have to do a research for this and get back with a good link.

Yes, the image is good and for the "mini" we can submit up to 3 photos in a single post.

    San Francisco, California
In my opinion, one of the nicest places on earth. There is a little something for everyone and a great place to take the kids for a day of adventure.

Well, I haven't been anywhere 'exotic' but I do have some pics of some favorite places.

    1. Lake Trahlyta at Vogel State Park near Blairsville, Georgia. Blood Mountain is in the background on the left. The ridge line in the background is a portion of the Appalachian Trail which runs Georgia to Maine. My husband's family has a get-together every year at this park. One of my favorite activities is to walk the trail around the lake. It is so peaceful and relaxing.

    2. An old farmhouse near Marble Falls, Texas--so beautiful in the Spring.

    3. A local sunset

    Edited to add additional photos.

Okay... This is my first post on Digital Grin.
I've been working on a Smugmug site for awhile. Thought this would be a good start for getting into the forums.

Anyway, here are my selections for your consideration - all chosen for their unique sense of place.

Joyce - I LOVE your Hatcher's Pass shot--to me it really says "Alaska!"

Trish - That Badlands shot is wonderful. It, too, really epitomizes that place.

Great shots so far! Have to start looking to see if I have something to contribute. :D
