Sorry I've been so absent, some shooting and a lot of work leave little time for all else...

Thank you. Just starting to play with the studio lights. First three were variations on strip lights, 4th used big soft box, with an hair (hat) light.

Can't beleive I missed these! I absolutely LOVE the first one!! Fantastic. She's grown up so much since the last shots I saw, too - you're in 6th grade this year, right? Batten down the hatches... rolleyes1.gif

I like 4 as well, although it looks like there's some artefacting around her (did you add a layer to make the black blacker, perhaps?)

So, you've invested in studio lights huh? Whaddyaget, whaddyaget? Let those of us without enough space or money live vicariously through you... rolleyes1.gif

Good to see you around! thumb.gif

Thank you. I see I missed a little lightroom brushwork on #4 near her CL hand. Most of the whole series are almost SOOC.. just forgot to set the WB ahead of time, and some cropping. #4 had a bit of forward spill since I was in my garage which is very cluttered and not really very wide (since there is so much crap in it). Anyhow, good catch.

I got a decent discount on the Profoto D1 Air 500's and went that route. I was still in a queue for Einsteins (still not sure if I'd have them by now). The D1's are very nice, simple to use and control, and the Air remote will trigger off the hotshoe of my TT5 so I can use speedlights as well for kickers. Having a home from the 60's means that ceiling aren't very high anywhere in the house, which make some things a little more challenging. We have one room with a cathedral ceiling, so I end up using that more often than not, but in this case, the garage was easier. I need to get more practice, but being able to power a large SB is pretty amazing.

Don't deserve them, but definitely realize that 1) Lucky to be able to have them, 2) They are very well designed 3) I have no excuses when it comes to light....

Beautiful! #4 is my favorite. Gracefully posed.
