You have some great captures there. I particularly like the third image. I'd think that's about as close to a mid-air collision as these birds can get, without actually touching each other.

The light 1/2 hour before sunset gives these guys a nice golden glow. I just wish I had a longer, faster lens. Most of these are shot at ISO 800 and cropped 80-100%. So at that size there quite noisy. Gotta love that new NR in LR3.
These were shot a 1Ds II and 400mm f5.6 lens
