I was sitting at a red light on Halloween when I noticed "The Birds". Light turned green as I began grabbing my P&S (LX3) from my vest pocket. I did have the presence of mind to zoom out from 24 mm to 60 mm or so and take the shot while I was accelerating my vehicle in traffic...
And know that should you recite this to me, you would definitely freak me out rofl
lol-- you know it's the song the little kids sang at the schoolhouse before the teacher led them safely single-file into the waiting arms of the birds right?
Anytime kids sing in a horror movie it sticks with me.

I must have blocked it out of my mind (or never was that attentive)...
But you would still freak me out if you recited it...rofl
Just read that this weekend Bodega (CA), the filming locale, is celebrating the 50th anniversary of "The Birds". This Saturday, Tippi Hedren will be there signing autographs...
Geez, they are remaking every movie from my past... Talk about spoiling a good thing...
I know. I wish they would STOP doing this. The original was amazing, you don't need to fix it in anyway. Great shot though, that's a lot of birds...and very creepy. This movie still gives me chills...it just goes to show how something we don't consider a threat could mess us up. :ivar

Really. The time and money would be better spent on remaking crappy movies with the hope of doing better.

How'd you get them all to line up like that?
.
Nikon P80
Nikkor 22-300 VR
Nikkor 18-55 VR
and now:
"She combed her hair
But once a year
risseldy rosseldy
mow, mow, mow,
with every rake
she shed a tear,
rissedley, rosseldy
hey bambassity
nickety nackety
retrical quality
wilowby walowby
mow, mow, mow"
I learned it so I could freak my little sister out.
