Uploading issues...

I am using the normal drag and drop uploader and have noticed yesterday and today, that the upload stops after about 12 files. When I drag and drop files, they immediately start uploading. It seems once the 12th or 13 files goes (which is the next file the wraps/scrolls off the view) it just stops. I then have to pause the upload, then click resume, then it starts again. Then about 12 files or so go, then it pauses again. Vert frustrating as I am trying to upload over 330 images into this gallery. I have tried this on 2 different PCs and both experience the same issue. And each time I was using 2 different galleries and sets of images. I am using Firefox. One of the PC I am using is running XP Professional and the other Vista.
So it's definitely not the machine. Anybody else experiencing this? I've never had a problem before until yesterday.

I just added 30 files to the Simple uploader in Firefox (on Windows 7) and it finished 20 already without problems or pausing in any way.
When it stops, does it display any message, error or anything else in the uploader screen?
Can you check that you have the latest java version installed? Go to:
www.java.com
and click on 'do I have java?'.
What antivirus, firewall or internet security software do you use?
Are you connected wireless or via a cable? Try a cable instead if you're on wireless.
If the problem still occurs, can you try uploading from Internet Explorer and see what happens there?

It gives no error. It just stops. I just recorded a video of the problem. I will post a link to it so you can see what's happening when the video is done processing on Smugmug.
I am running the latest java. I use Sophos for anti-virus. I always have and never had an issue. I am using a wired connection with a fast 10mgb connection. I have uploaded from here numerous times without an issue. I can try it from IE in a little while.

Here is a link to the video I captured showing the problem.

I can't do that. I am currently plugged into a University network (my other job) - running a PC with XP Professional. The other time I experienced this, I was at home on my personal laptop (PC running Vista). So I'm not sure it's the network.

Find out from your work if they are doing anything like throttling, or blocking, etc.
Uploading is working as normal at SmugMug http://status.smugmug.com so we just have to figure out why your setup isn't working.

I'll ask but it's weird that I saw this at home too on a different PC in a different location within the same 24 hours. Hmmm. Very strange.
Thank Andy.

Is it the same image all the time that the uploader is stopping on?

No. Different images. Check out my video linked above. It happens on various images. And they are no different than any other jpgs I upload.

Right. But without investigating, we can't know where the problem lies or what it is, Samir. Next time, write our Support Heroes asap and we'll jump on it

That's why I'm finding it odd that Lou has this problem now.
I appreciate the heros help and being available 24x7, but I've found that workarounds are a faster path to getting back to work unless there is something fundamentally wrong on my side. And that would've been blatantly apparent if everyone else's uploads started working but mine. Then I would've tried to get in touch with the help desk.
I try to check dgrin and the status page to see if a problem exists for others before contacting help. If someone else is already working on the same problem with SM, good. Then I know it's not just me, and someone else will stay on it to get it fixed, saving my time for something else.
