Priviet, dear friends! (oh!)...
(I've edited this 2 times - that's what news about Sony R1 can do to a human...:-)

Taken today... when I presented prints to children's teacher at art school, I undestood that she was working with another group of teenagers - so I took their photos too...

I like the first and last the best. The first I think works very well in B&W and the last one, I'm a sucker for freckles I guess, plus I like how her hair is falling loosely to the sides of her face.

    Hi Yuri,

Great portraits as usual. I call you a portrait god and continually check your posts to see what other miracle you have pulled off.

#7 is definitely my favorite of the lot.

    Cheers.

Yuri, your portraits take my breath away, always. Every shot here I like for different reasons. But #1 #3 and #7 just jump out at me. Critique you? I am not worthy:Dbowdown.gif

okay, please show us the next pix
    # 7 is my top-fav, I like freckles. The end of the hair and the neck looks a little bit greenesh, but all in all the best you can expect from a Sony rolleyes1.gif

Great shots Yuri. I was just wondering what your lighting setup is for these.

You linked to another thread about your normal post processing, and in it you mentioned you aproach people to take pictures of them. Is this purely for your fun/portfolio, or do you try to make some money from this as well, by selling them prints, etc.

I hope you dont mind my 2 questions.

I really like the detail you capture in thier eyes.

It was shadow place under a tree (sunny day) - only natural light...
I'm not only not making money with my photos, but present prints to those whom I photograph.... - its a *great* pleasure!

I found this out reading another of your threads, hehe.

I really like your work, so ive spent the last few hours going over your previous posts. Im on dial up so this is taking a while. You have a real tallent in these portraits. Im going to have to go over these again sometime and study the composition, etc in more detail.

And giving the subject prints for free is a great way to add to your portfolio, get lots of practice and make lots of friends. Do you bother getting a model release?

    No...
I just ask them if they dont mind about my web site.
If they say 'No', I remove (or not place) such a photo (It never happen until now :-)
As for print presents, they are made 'out of my heart'
I make them only if I myself like the results...
    Spasibo for your interest,
    Yuri
