Lots of twists and turns took us to this village where Tent Pegging event was organized. I reached there when sun was straight above which gave me fairly good shutter speeds to capture horse in full action. Unfortunatly i was not able to shoot at golden hours as my partners (non photographer) got tired and bored:rolleyes, though i enjoy most with these folks :D Maximum focal length i had was 100mm macro, i missed long focal length lens...

1) Pakistan is very well connected country, communication is no issue in most parts of country.

I'm consistently floored by the great colors, action, and faces that you always share with us. If even you say the journey there had twists and turns, I can't even begin to imagine what it was like. :D

Fascinating shots, Awais. The people and action shots are beautiful. You've really kicked up the clarity of your shots recently. Keep 'em coming!

I am fascinated by these as well. So much color; so much texture; so much expression on the faces of people. Very beautiful.

Excellent series. I almost felt like I was there. Now tell me, are they trying to get the tent pole out or what?

    Oh. My. God.

It's so crazy looking at your photos - almost identical in style to the ones I took through Rajistan in India. Simply amazing. Love your work!!!!

Thanks bro. They are trying to hit a wooden target on ground with a spear, they have to do it without losing turban from head while riding horse in speed, as they move towards final target gets smaller.

Check this out.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bffIIrSpCCg eek7.gif though this type of dare is not part of all tent pegging events, this video will give you clear idea of how they do itthumb.gif

    Awais,
Next time say good-bye to your friends!
These are amazing and to think what more you would have gotten had you stayed longer--I feel a little cheated.

Your work here is outstanding. My mouth is literally on the floor.

I also appreciate the education I receive about Pakistan, I learn a little more with all your posts.

Amazing shots...and I appreciate so much the chance to "visit" an area that is so unknown to me. The colors...my goodness...so wonderful. And the faces are so beautiful and expressive.

I thoroughly enjoyed every one of your photographs. The clarity and colours are amazing.

A man I know here (in Canada) tent pegs but I've never seen it done before. And the costumes are terrific.
