Just a couple from Colchester Zoo on Saturday.

All shot with the trusty a900 / 70-400G handheld through scratched glass - gotta love this Sony ;)

Two lovely captures. I think I prefer the second by the tiniest of margins. That wolf just looks majestic.

I really like #2. I'm not sure if its cold there yet but their coats look real nice. If you had not said you shot them through glass you would have never known.

We have a place here called Wolf Park. For a fee they let you in with them (all hand raised) for about 5 hours to shoot. I tried to get in this year but there all booked up. :cry

It's all happening at the zoo! :D

Nice shots, David...I wish the 2nd wolf was not in the BG of the second shot...otherwise thumb.gif

I like these. You chose your BGs well. No man-made stuff is apparent.

Thanks guys, John - funny you mention BG as I noticed them a lot the last time I went so made a point of trying to keep posts and fences out of these.

I love wolves, and I like both images. Good job on isolating the wolves, they don't look like zoo shots. thumb.gif

Except that the critters are well-fed, have gorgeous pelts, and aren't all scarred upmwink.gif
