    Dramatic shot. I like how a placed the camera right on top of the tree almost. you wonder why it fell it doesn't look diseased??

    Looks like windfall to me.

    I definately like how the tree connects the BG & FG. Only nit would be the fern frond in the lower right corner which seems to be in motion. Everything else is nice and sharp so it stands out a little to me.

    lightning strike or microburst? could be any one of several reasons...
