I was fortunate to participate in this year's Veterans Day parade and capture the following. These are a few of my favorites from the day.

C&C welcome!

Two and three are very nice. But one, though it's colorful, doesn't really do much for me photographically.

    Thx for the comment...

#1 I tried to be more creative than the shot could be, ie: I wanted to show the sacrifices/work soldiers do everyday yet remain anonymous as to who the soldiers are. It could be anyone of them.

#2 was my favorite of all the shots taken that day and #3 was just cute to see the kids saluting the veterans in the parade.

    Again, thanks!

I like #3 with the kids saluting, but perhaps you could look at a different crop, eliminating that distracting blur in the lower left corner...

    Like this?

I see crops/aspect ratios of 4/3, 3/4 and square floating around. Is that simply the height vs width in size? Are these preferred visually over 'just a crop'? With this one, my eye tends to wander quickly to the mother in blue whereas before it didn't.
