I like everything about #1 other than he is centered in the picture. Remeber the rule of thirds. However, that's just the syle that I like. I like #2 except again centered perfectly. I think if you are going to center pictures, then you need to put some kind of angle on it to make it interesting. This seems to have been shot at eye level. I think if you had him get on his knees or if you got on a step ladder, this would have benefited. Even just a camera tilt would have worked. Again, just my style, doesn't have to be yours. I absolutely love #3! I am bored with #4 and #5. Mostly because there is simply no color other than the other walkers on the pier or whatever that is. I would have waited for everyone to clear out to make it look a little more professional. Again with the centering and lack of angle on #6. You rocked #7! I don't care for his clothes and the color of them, but it's still a great image. I'm not feeling #8 at all.

Thanks for the feedback. Overall I was not jumping up and down about this session. I know exactly what you mean about the centered images. I hate that as well and tried to crop accordingly but can get him off center without cutting off feet. Needed to compose that one better when I took the picture.

i still think number 1 is nice. it would be a great shot for his family or something to put up somewhere, even if u didnt use rule of thirds....rules are here to break.

Question: Why are train tracks always involved in senior portraits?
