I've always appreciated portraits that show something about the subject. Maybe more of a feeling than anything you could really put your finger on. After talking to a total stranger on a cross country trip this summer I took his picture. I took it because I felt I had known him for a long time. After seeing the shot on the back of the camera he said "That face has a lot of miles on it..." Yes, but I thought they were lovely miles.

... and you've hit the nail on the had. Photography does capture the soul - the right shot ... the 1 in 1,000 shot, the shot that etches more into the subject than you could see with your own eyes. Those are the rare shots, and you've captured one here. Great work.
