I took these in the White Mts. last fall; the view is looking West towards the Sierras. I am trying to decide which one to keep and which one to delete.

Thanks for any input.

#1 has a foreground element and more light...

#2 is from a different elevation and has no foreground element.

    Why Delete either of them?

I like the first one the most though because of the colors. Try the second in black and white.

I agree with Dragon. I like them both. #1 is certainly the stronger of the two when presented together, but I still like the second shot.

The sky is terrific. Was this done in post, or did you shoot with a polarizer?

Thanks for the input guys. I am gonna try #2 in BW; great idea.

Regarding #2, I did use a polarizer, and also a minor tweak in PS.

Both are good. I like the first more.

The first one is my favorite, but it has a dark blue spot on the top where there are no clouds. I hate when that happens because of the polarizer. The plants in the lower left of the first adds a little more for me also.

In the second pic the colors seem a little dull to me and the hill in the middle kinda throws the scene off.

Neither one is "bad" though, I would definitely keep both if they were mine.

Nick - Since I have only been shooting for a year my knowledge is limited. Is there any way to avoid that 'blue spot' or is that just what happens when you use a polarizer in some cases?

    Thanks in advance.
