I've been informed by my co-workers that my affinity for photographing people sleeping in public borders on creepy. What do y'all think? :D Although I guess there's no sport in capturing people snoozing at airports; there's way too many to choose from! :rofl

#4 is the most interesting composition, IMO. thumb.gif

One sleepy shot is not really creepy. But a whole series of them makes it look like somebody gassed the terminal. eek7.gif

Don't give the TSA any ideas... eek7.gif

It's an interesting concept. I know a French consortium of 6 photogs working in Shanghai that have an extensive collection of people sleeping in public places. Keep indulging your fetish. mwink.gif

Creepy is in the eye of the beholder.

I like this project of yours--keep posting.

I like the last shot the best with the one man whose face is obscured and the feet of the other man in the same frame.

I also like how each person finds a different position to get comfortable--some have no imagination at all--then there are others that kind of make me proud:) I'm a big sleepy head, so these really appeal to me.

It's my favorite as well. Just something about the dark clothes contrasting against the harsh pool of overexposed goodness.

Ha, I plan to. I have lots of other shots but laziness has prevented me from uploading more galleries. The above shots were taken with an EOS 40D, but the silent drive mode on the EOS 1D Mark IV allows for more stealthy shooting for these subjects. rolleyes1.gif

Exactly! There were dozens of subjects I just passed by and didn't give a second glance because their poses were boring and plain.
    1. Jumped out at me because he kept snapping awake, grabbing his bag to see if it was still there, nodding off, and sliding down in his seat more and more each time.
    2. Kept falling asleep in her hand while working on her notebook and the action of falling asleep and tipping forward kept waking her up.
    3. The most boring because what caught my eye (his legs flopped down on the floor) I didn't actually get in the frame.
    4. Speaks for itself. Ha.
    5. Also speaks for itself but a really hard shot to capture with the 50mm because my back was up against a wall. And the girl sitting in the chair next to me outside of the frame kept giggling and asked to see my masterpiece after I got the shot. In retrospect, I think it may have been his wife/girlfriend. thumb.gif

I gotta go with number 5 as my favorite. The white shoes on the arm of the 'sofa' behind the main subject make me laugh. Don't know why...

For some reason, #3 reminds me of the time I was stranded in Detroit for a night. You'd have gotten pictures of my *trying* to sleep... ;-)
