I've had a search about and couldn't find any details on the history of this site. How long has this place been going? When didi it all start? What did it evolve from and why?

    http://www.archive.org/web/web.php

Go there and point it to dgrin (or microsoft, or apple, or ibm, or whatever you want) - and see the site evolution - quite often from a single page...

december 2003 dgrin thanks for the trip back, nik - pretty cool!

dgrin was started by smugmug founders baldy and onethumb, to be a dedicated photography forum....as an added value to smugmug members, but of course free and open to anyone in the photographic community. we started out slowly at first, but the growth over the past two years has been amazing :D and what a great community this is.

thanks for asking such a great question!

Wow, Nik, great site. I'm certain I'll waste many hours searching out many various sites.
