Delays indexing

Hi,
I use the Lightroom plugin to upload to Smugmug. Yesterday, I uploaded a set of images in a couple of new galleries. The images have not yet appeared in my 'Recent Photos' list, they don't appear in my smart-albums and their keywords are not listed in the Top Keywords panel. If I view an image, I notice it says "Indexing: ..." under the caption.
It sort of seems like the indexing process is hung. Is there a way to get it to complete? I would really expect uploaded images to be indexed within a few minutes, if not seconds.
I've seen delays before, but never this long.
