    Hello Ralph wave.gif
We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing uploading problems. We see quite a few, of what look to be connection related errors, in your upload log. Pretty much all we are seeing are error messages. So there is definitely a problem. We assume you are using the Simple uploader. If not, please let us know. Also please make sure your computer has been rebooted recently.

We see you have a very large amount of photos uploaded. So uploading appears to have worked well for you in the past. Has anything changed recently? Or, since you started noticing the uploading problems? Is this a new computer? Has any updating occurred? Like firewalls or security suites? Have you changed ISPs? Or moved to wireless network connection? If so, please try connecting via hard-wiring to see if this corrects the problem. Please make sure you have a fairly recent version of java installed (release 6 version 15 as a minimum). Also make sure your computer isn't going into Standby or Sleep mode, when uploading. As this will stop uploading.

There is also a known issue with the AVG 9.0 firewall. You will need to disable the Active Surf Shield, in order to be able to upload. We have directions for doing this if you need them. We have also seen uploading issues reported, when using ESET NOD32 Smart Security firewall.

I see you mention that you have tried other uploaders. Please try one of these uploaders. To see if there is a may actually be a connection issue. We like our new HTML5 uploader You will need to use it with Firefox, Safari or Chrome. And it doesn't use java. Also the Old Faithful uploader is very solid. Not the fastest. But it will usually upload, where other uploaders may not.

Please reply to us on the Help Desk. If you are still unable to upload we will need you to run a few tests to help us determine if and where any problems may lie.

Sorry about these problems. Bear with us and we will get them behind you, as quickly as we can.

Have a wonderful day Ralph :cavig

    Thanks for the quick reply.
I tried all of your suggestions and still having trouble with IE8 and latest FFox.
I downloaded google chrome and no problems for a while now it is having file upload errors?
The only thing i have done in the last 2 months was change from vista to Win 7
I will check to see if i can roll back to system back up to see if that helps.

    cheers
    Ralph

I'm having upload issues as well. Neither Safari nor Chrome nor Firefox has helped. On Chrome I received the "File is too big" warning on Safari the upload speed was 30kbs forever and ever.

It seems to work in spurts randomly, accepting files and rejecting others, and it is slower than it used to be a couple of mnths ago.
am sure we will work it out.
    cheers

Switch back to the Simple Uploader until we release v1.1 of the HTML5 uploader - link is lower left in your uploader window.

Just to let you know i think i found what was conflicting with my uploading.
I had recently installed HTC Sync for my mobile phone ,it not only caused conflicts with Smug uploads it also slowed my internet speeds by half ?
any way everything is fine now .
Hope this might help someone else.

    cheers
    to all
