We need to put the site into emergency maintenance mode tonight to finish the repairs we started over the weekend. We'll go into read-only mode around 10pm Pacific tonight. Updates will be made here:

It's wearing a bit thin, I'm beginning to think I made a big mistake joining a US based site, whilst you are all sleeping, we are once again frustrated being unable to upload anything. I understand the thinking, most of your members will be stateside, but that makes it none the less frustrating. (mind you, I'm not expecting any sympathy!) In the last few days it seems to be a lottery as to when and if we can upload anything. I gave up on pbase because it was forever going down, it seems history is repeating itself.

I agree. This is an instance where majority rule really doesn't seem fair. I say if 10% of the customers are in a European timezone, why isn't every tenth maintainance stop in OUR nighttime?

Hi Ben, over 8+ years, our record is really, really strong. Sometimes bad stuff happens, and then of course it's concentrated over a short time - each time we do something like we did last night, we emerge stronger and better. I'm really sorry for the hassle last night.
