What better place to put a new camera through the paces than spending an hour at the feeder.

All with the Olympus E-5/300mm f2.8/EC-14 teleconverter

It works, very well. Great collection of feeder shots. You can throw away the box now. :giggle

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

That E-5 is a winner. Did you shoot raw or jpg. I ask because the reviews talk about how great the jpgs are right out of the camera.

    Funny you should askrolleyes1.gif.

It was my intention was to shoot both raw + jpeg, but I messed up and wound up with raw only. The big problem with that is Lightroom won't work with the E-5's files yet, so I had to do a hack to the EXIF and change the camera to an E-30 to get it to process.

Lightroom was always easy with Olympus raw files, mainly just a tweak here or there. These were a bit off and it took me awhile to figure out how to get a look I liked. Once I figured it out it wasn't too bad, but it was still more of a hassle that I like.

The jpeg engine is great from my use so far:

    50-200 at 182mm f3.5 (wide open)
