Howdy All,

One of the many Duck Blinds on the Lake,

really well made and natural with the Spanish

Moss draped all around.

I bet the hunters get more red bugs than they do ducks. You couldn't pay me enough to get me to crawl up in that thing.

    Good shot though, Craig.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

    Howdy Mary,

Thanks, it was really a well thought out one, and

this one was one of the nicer ones, but they had

    a lot of hidden ones.

    Howdy Tom,

I agree, I think I'd at least have to wait until the First Hard Freeze

before I'd want to get up in there. I thought it was a hiding spot to
sit in your boat, but the way it was explained you go under it, and get out and then have a nice stand to sit in up top.

    Howdy Randy,

:D:D:D It really did look like something alive out there, especially
with all that Spanish Moss draped all over.

Wow, that's really cool, Craig. These blinds, are they private or public? I'm guessing that would be a hell of a place to hang out if you're a bird photographer. What are all those white dots on the water by the far shore? They look like snow geese, but I'm guessing it's something else which just looks white by the IR.

    I like Randy's "Woolly Mammoth" characterization too. That's a hoot. rolleyes1.gif

    Howdy Joel,

Thanks very much, it really was a neat place. I think these are privately owned blinds, some of them we were told go back to the late 40's, early 50's and passed down from Family member to Family Member.

Yes that was a good call by the "Hooligan" or at least that's what Tom Calls him:D:D:D
on it looking like a Wooly Mammoth.

The White things in the back are actually the lilly pads that turn up when the wind blows.
    Take care,

    Craig
