this image was adjusted TWICE in Lightroom, making it a bit extreme but I liked it enough to keep a copy...

I really like this photo. It doesn't look like a mistake at all. It has such a pure feel, the lighter colors. It is a really peaceful image.

Absolutely GORGEOUS. The only thing I might consider is pulling back the oranges a tad in LR, but that's a matter of taste. Trudy, you are getting SO GOOD!!!

    Absolutely darling capture. iloveyou.gif

The mother's skin tone looks a bit too orange, as diva mention, but that may be a matter of personal taste. The lighting, emotion, and composition are all superb. thumb.gif

I hate to do this, but I'm going to be the first to say "Wonder what it would look like in black & white" -- just a thought.

Of course, if you don't convert it, there's nothing wrong with the color copy, it's OUTSTANDING!!! Makes me want to go to the beach for some reason.

Very cool shot. I would desaturate it or black and white it.....but that is me.
Why do you think it is a mistake....just curious.

The little one is alittle bit hot but it is definitely a great keeper. They don't always have to be perfect to extract emotion and this one is great. I like the orange.

Wow I am delighted by the many responses! I took some of the comments and applied them to the image, plus included the original and where I intended to go with it. The mistake version and images made from it, have the mom's chin slightly altered which I think helps enhance the picture.

    1. SOOC, Lightroom only applied camera calibration

    2.where I intended to go.....

    3. and ......

    4. LESS orange starting with "mistake" copy... I like this version a lot

6 and the "mistake" in PP copy

But after looking at all versions I still kinda like the mistake version best.
