SEO for smugmug no results with Password protected galleries

I noticed that I get SE responses on google alerts when I don't have a password on the gallery. I imagine all the content for the gallery is behind the password protected, non crawl area. Is there a way to bring the data in front of the password section, or on the "enter password" page so that google/search can find it for seo..

Even though searchers won't be able to see the photos, it will bring them into the smugmug and they may be able to get back to the website.

The reason why I like the seo, is because I have family of clients google, "stephanie and Rich wedding" and it used to come up spot 1 google and then they could find the wedding photos.

for instance, this search was made possible because it was unprotected:

http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&hl=en&site=&source=hp&q=lori+and+henry+wedding&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&pbx=1&fp=fbb9e82777227709

while this search result, for a passworded gallery doesn't even return any result even adding mdpstore.com to it:

I'm sorry, it's not possible - password protected, or unlisted means "google stay away" on SmugMug. I wish I had a different answer for you.

It's ok just trying to give some ideas for possibilities. I think I am going to try to do sample galleries of the clients work with all the keywords description.

I wish a landing page could be possible but maybe one day:). The traffic I get now is 12-15k of unique visitors but has dropped since pw galleries took place. Thanks for the reply Andy I appreciate all your help.
