Verify Login?

EVERY time I try submitting new code on the advanced customize page, this pops up, and when I verify, ALL of my code is gone (big deal).. The few times it doesn't, it says something to the effect of 'error occurred' and then I have to resubmit the information (no big deal)
My question is why? I'm not updating every 5 seconds, and I only have the three tabs open that I consider essential (one for editing, and one for getting page names and numbers, and of course the editing screen.
My box is checked off for Keep my logged in, and my code isn't faulty - as a matter of fact out of frustration I went to andy's demo site, copied all of the code and every instruction from there (to assure everything) and it still did it.
I wouldn't mind the verify login thing so much if my code didn't disappear, but I always fix my code in the advanced browser, and not on a textedit, dreamweaver, etc.
Oh and I haven't been updating my preview screen a million times either -- as a matter of fact, that doesn't show any changes either..
There's gotta be something silly going on here.
Help, suggestions??

Thanks a lot guys,
Gah. It's getting quite frustrating -
logged out, logged in, cleared cookies (after the problem was still present), logged back in, and still - same exact thing.
My preview screen is NOT working whatsoever, so I have to hit update and then see my changes _
Fortunately, I don't have much on my site right now because I'm trying to get it customized before I direct anyone to it. Basically everything is on hold until I get this done, and that's why I'm so frustrated.
The only thing left is to test drive different browsers until I (hopefully) get one that doesn't run into the problem, but I'll save that for another night.
One thing I did think of though -- I may be logged in to my smugmug on both my laptop and desktop.. I haven't accessed my laptop all week so I don't know whether or not it is, but would/could that be the sole cause of the problem?
I've had the account for about a month or so now and thought the verify login was just routine until recently having to deal with it every time..
Thanks, and sorry for the ramble.
Since you mentioned that we advocate Firefox, and you're willing to give it a go, the Web Developer extension is an awesome tool, and would help you to see your CSS right on your page, before you officially add it to your Advanced Customization. If you haven't checked it out, it's here: http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/1354921
Please email us if you continue having trouble staying logged in. We'll be able to get a little more system information from you that you might not want to have posted, in a public forum.
