This was my first attempts taking photos of elk. Any tips, tricks, feedback would be great. I am trying to figure out what makes a great elk photo. I think so far the most challenging part is to find them were there is a great background. It seems every time I find the big bulls, the background is crappy like in the 4th shot. I am thinking maybe once we get snow it would make for more interesting backgrounds

    Good set Racer thumb.gif

A good wildlife capture has three basic elements: an interesting subject; good light; and a good background. We usually get one of the three, sometimes we get two out of three, when you get three out of three its very rare.

You handled these images very well.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
