AdoramaPix Smugmug Import not Working

I know this sounds like an Adorama issue, but I already contacted their support and they thought it was a Smugmug issue. Anyway, I have Smugmug Pro with galleries with photos uploaded from Lightroom. They galleries are public but aren't listed on my homepage. They also have the "External Links" option enabled. Sounds like everything should work out fine. However, when I try to import photos from Smugmug from the Adoramapix.com photo book designer, it gets stuck on loading photos. It seems to see that I have 3 galleries, which is correct. That tells me that the Adorama app can at least talk to Smugmug but something must go wrong in the middle. Please advise. TIA.

Here is a email back from Adorama.
Hi! Unfortunately this is a Smugmug issue. They give us permission to access Galleries. We will look into the issue to see if there's anything else we can do for you. In the meantime, see if you can contact Smugmug and if they can help you out with this.

Hi, I know this will sound like pass-the-buck but Adorama uses our API, and we don't have any control over their app. I'll try to contact Adorama on your behalf, stay tuned.

Yes, we are working with them to fix it. The problem is on their side, but we are helping them.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Seems like this issue is back. Is this an adorama problem or smugmug? I created my 1st book about two months ago with no problems. When trying to do one now, it does not open any new galleries that I have not opened previously.

Hi, hate to say it but it's Adorama - they built their interface on our API. Please give them a shout, thanks!

Hey Andy even though I'm going to contact Adorama I'll give you some more info. When loading it does not have a problem with galleries that were previously opened. They open and I can import pics. For galleries that I never loaded pics before, that's where the problem is.

Found my answer. Found out it doesn't like password protected galleries (even though it was public). Once I removed the password it resolved the issue.

Glad you were able to resolve it. A good thing to check on is the 'external links' setting. If you're having problems with a specific site, you may want to try turning on external links in the gallery settings of the gallery.

I am having the same issue. I have already made sure my smugmug albums are not password protected and have Yes checked on the external links. I'd really appreciate any help you can offer!

I would suggest that you contact the HelpDesk with all the details you can provide us with. Like what do you do and what happens and what specific gallery you tried to import last(include a link to the gallery). Do you get any error message?
Did you also contact AdoramaPix directly as this may be an issue on their end?

Please make sure the Gallery in question is public. Adorama does not pull from SmugMug unlisted galleries. You can make the gallery public, order your prints, and then return the gallery to its unlisted state.

    I apologize for the inconvenience.

Actually, the problem may lie in the settings on your plugin access. Can you please go to your Account Settings then to the Privacy section. Under "Authorized Apps" you will see the AdoramPix plug in. Click on "Change" and edit the Access Level to "Full"

If this doesn't work, please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your help!

I followed your directions and it's working correctly now.

Was I suppose to change the Permissions as well? I set that to Modify - because that is what the Adobe Lightroom Plug In is at at...

Also, will I be able to set my gallery back to private or password protected now?

The permissions don't matter as much as the Access Level. Either Read or Modify will be acceptable. Once you have your Access Level set to full, you can then change your gallery back to Unlisted.

Please let me know if you have any further questions!
