Hi Y'all,

When I was testing out the rented 200-400mm I ran into two fishermen up on Merritt Island.

This dude had some expensive gear and he had absolutely no luck at all.

Now this fella had spent zip on his gear and just couldn't stop catching fish.

He got big ones

He got little ones

he even threw a few back

it must have been the technique

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Harry, what a great series, and hilariously captioned! Is that a GBH? It looks a little different from the ones I see. Best, Pam

Yes, that's a GBH. The color is different because its a juvenile GBH and they have rusty brown edging in its feathers. It also lacks the plumes a mature GBH would have.

Thanks I liked it enough to go out and get one after my rental experience.

You can read about my reactions to the lens here.
